This is a tribute to all the people that Ice Fish.
Ever been Ice Fishing? It's a lot of fun, as long as it's not too cold out. I love to go ice fishing on a nice WARM winter day, waiting and watching for a flag to pop up to tell you there's a fish on the line. When you get to the flag and look down in the hole, you can see the fishing reel going a mile a minute as the fish is taking off with the bait. I have had fish on that that was so big they got stuck in the hole when I tried to bring them up through. (The manual ice auger I had then only drilled a 8 inch hole in the ice!)
My oldest son (Rob), on the other hand, will go Ice Fishing when it's 40 below zero and the wind is blowing 50 miles an hour! He still calls that fun . . . . I call it crazy!

Public uses:
This KLT property is open to the public for hiking, nature observation, cross-country skiing, hunting, and other low impact non-motorized recreation. No ATV’s are permitted. The agricultural fields are leased to a neighboring farmer. Please do not walk through the farm fields or park in field entrances.

Look for the KLT sign and registration box at the edge of the field.
Trail:
An easy trail features 3,800 feet of undeveloped frontage along Seawards Mills Stream, wetlands and woodlands. Be careful if you loop back along the Seaward Mills Road. Total length from trailhead back to the designated parking area; 1.0 miles. Trail is NEW and is a work in progress not yet completed to the end.
Dogs:
Out of respect for hikers and small children, dogs should be under voice command or on a leash. Please pick up after your pets.
