ITA - Contrà San Rocco Mt. 460 Arsiero. Contrà San Rocco è una zona molto interessante e suggestiva di questo bel paese, racchiude molte memorie del tempo andato. Dai piedi del Monte Cavioio si possono vedere le abitazioni utilizzate un tempo dai contadini che lavoravano e vivevano in questa terra, ora fortunatamente la maggior parte di queste case sono state restaurate e rimesse in sesto ridandogli nuova vita. Questa contrà porta il nome della chiesetta che sovrasta la zona, da dove si può godere di un splendido panorama in tutto relax e silenzio. Nella prima guerra mondiale in questa zona esisteva l'ultima linea difensiva dell'Esercito Italiano, superata questa linea il nemico avrebbe potuto entrare liberamente nella Val D'Astico. La linea scendeva da ovest dal vicino e conosciuto Monte Priaforà Mt. 1659, passava per la parte nord del paese per poi salire verso est, in direzione del Monte Cavioio Mt.1111 e del noto Monte Cimone Mt.1226. Nei paraggi sono state ritrovate e ripulite molte trincee e postazioni che un tempo era la "Batteria San Rocco". Troverete passaggi in gallerie, ricoveri, muri difensivi e qualche nido di mitragliatrice. Fortunatamente, quella linea non venne superata dal nemico... Arrivati alla piccola chiesa potete decidere il vostro nuovo itinerario, se salire verso le cime, (solo se siete ben equipaggiati) o se proseguire per la strada bianca seguendo le indicazioni per le contrà Valoie, Peralto e Pierini (consigliato). Tenendovi sulla sinistra la strada comincierà a scendere per portarvi, sempre per una strada facile e verdeggiante nella vicina valle del Rio Freddo. Qui potete rientrare per la vecchia via, che collega Arsiero alla Val Posina costeggiando il torrente Posina che termina al punto di partenza, la piazza di Arsiero. La cache è un contenitore per alimenti, molto semplice da trovare visto le dimensioni, contiene il log, penna e matita. Consiglio un piccolo zaino equipaggiato con borraccia per chi decidesse di rientrare dal Rio Freddo. Tempo totale del giro 1 ora e 30 minuti circa, (a seconda del passo e delle varie pause.) Il punto di partena è la piazza di Arsiero, ma attenzione, alcuni posti auto sono a disco orario con tempo max di 60 minuti, nei paraggi ne troverete di liberi. La partenza a piedi è segnalato dal waypoint a Mt.349, da dove partono i sentieri CAI n°541 e n°542 segnalati con il colore bianco/rosso. La via è semplice e non presenta difficoltà. Inizialmente passerete per la stazione/caserma dei Carabinieri e della Guardia Forestale per poi arrivare nella strada provinciale Arsiero/Posina. Attraversate la strada e prendete la via a sinistra che vi porterà nella contrà San Rocco (tempo 15/20 minuti, dislivello Mt.110). Buon divertimento, grazie ciao. ENG - Zone San Rocco Arsiero 460 Mt.
