Geocache Description:

This cache is a tribute to a dedicated cacher!! And proud that she recovering and almost 100% like new. Update 6/4/2012 We grateful to say she has recovered 100%, way to go!!!!

Log date 12/29/2011 "Well, this day started out pretty good ... drove over from Lake Lure to spend the New Years Weekend with some friends. I decided to come a day early so I could do a bit of caching with my buddy All4Boys4Me, her son and his friend. We decided to grab a few caches and then try one of the night caches close by ... HOWEVER ... (wait, I'll get to the however in a minute) Wow ... now THAT was a bushwack to get to this one! (however, the hike out was a bit worst) The tree is AWESOME ... we found 'the Raven', pretty sure he wasn't where he was supposed to be ... we signed the log and placed it in a more appropriate spot for such an amazing container! TFTC! OK, back to the HOWEVER ... and the reason for my log being SO late. We continued on and found 3 more caches in the area ... on our hike back to the geomobile (only .3 miles) ... through some really thick stuff ... I managed to hop off a log and BREAK MY ANKLE! AaaaAAAaaaAAAaaaaa ... I've hopped off many, many logs in my days, but this is the first time I didn't manage to nail the landing. Once I realized I wasn't going to make it out on my own ... we called 911 for assistance. I gave them my EXACT coordinates. It still took them about an hour and a half to locate us and I had to use my whistle (which I recomend EVERYONE out hiking have with them) to help them find us (and a GOOD flashlight with extra batteries) ... I would suggest more geocachers work for the fire department! Long story short ... I've had surgery to fix my ankle and I was FINALLY able to get out and find a few terrain 1s today (Jan. 19th) cast, crutches and all ... with a little help from my geofriends. It's been a tough three weeks but don't worry ... Not a chance I'm gonna quit caching!" Cachn'Zoom
