Geocache Description:


The cache is a preform container hidden in the woods a short distance from a trail. If the outer road is closed, it can be quite a hike to get to the cache.
The staff prides their selves on maintaining a well-groomed nature reserve. Since it is a lot of work they have some rules that must be followed to keep this area open to us for caching.
1) Sorry but NO PETS

2) No fires or smoking are allowed

3) Bikes are permitted but only on the service roads. Bikes are not allowed on the trails

4) No hunting, fishing or swimming

The only way to enter the property is through the front gate (entering any other way is considered trespassing); there is a $5.00 admission charge for adults, senior citizens (65 and over), $3.00, children twelve and under are free. Members of Missouri Botanical Garden or Shaw Nature Reserve are free. Grounds are open 7:00 am to one-half hour past sunset. The visitor center is open 8:00 am to 4:30 pm weekdays and 9:00 am to 5:00 pm weekends.
