Large tupperware decorated by the webelos pack 150 included in this cache is a pen and pad,plus some lititure on fire safty. plus it is filled with actual items from the fire like burnt rocks,sticks,cans,and some responder cars! hope every one enjoys this cache and never forget what fire can do! there is plenty of parking near by:)
This troop goes to school at Pleasent Valley Elemtry School which was evacuatate on January 19th 2012 due to a ragging fire headed streight for their school. It had started on Washoe Dr. in Washoe Valley and moved it's way through Pleasent Valley,on it 's way up to Gallena High School where they finally got a handle on this horrible fire! This fire was started innocently by an elderly man throwing away his fireplaces ashes unfortunitly the winds that day were dangerously high and were carried away.This fast moving fire destroyed 29 houses and killed one elderly lady whom was unable to leave her home. All the children were safely evacuated from Pleasent Valley Elementry mostly in Part to the great and quick thinking staff at the school. Although that night the Pine wood durby was scheduled to take place but was postponed for 2 months. This webelos pack wanted to Pay tribute to all of the brave responders whom helped minimize the damage and elminate this dangours fire. As a boyscout good deed our troop also helped to reseed washoe Lake in hopes of a quick recovery. We love where we live and want to keep it safe and beautiful for a long time to come.
