A quick driveby cache on SH1 During WW2 this feature was made to guard the north end of the bridge in the event of an invasion from the south. Parking opposite the cache site is not recommended but there is good off road parking on the east side of the highway near the bridge. Take care walking back to the cache site as traffic is usual travelling very fast and close to you. The cache is a 300ml screw capped container with logbook only bring your own pen.
