Geocache Description:

Located on the east side of Wilderness Park (Cannon River Wilderness Area). If you need to get out...way out, then this cache is for you. The far reaches of this park have made me realize what a special place this is. There just aren't many places where you can get out and wander aimlessly for miles. Sometimes that's what a person really needs. Please tread lightly.

This could be a difficult cache to find, due to the spotty reception in the area. Retrieval will also be a challenge, no matter how you approach. You can expect a round trip hike of at least 6-7 miles. There are no real trails for the last mile and a half or so, you'll be on your own. I've listed some checkpoints to make sure you don't wander onto private property. I don't expect anyone to follow them precisely- that would be boring- but don't go too far off track or you may be trespassing. Also, don't approch the cache from "nearby" roads or driveways, you will be trespassing. I would recommend bringing a compass and a map of the park, CRWA map. This is a pretty long hike, so be sensible and take precautions.
