Waterfowl Viewing Parking Area Bike Path
Spring Shoreline Cleanup, April 21, 2012: Make a difference and join over 1,500 volunteers to help in cleaning up trash at 40 waterfront sites in the Buffalo Niagara region. The Spring Cleanup is on Saturday, April 21 from 9-12. After the cleanup, join us at a volunteer picnic with prizes and surprises!
We have been invited by the Buffalo Niagara Riverkeeper's to help in the annual Spring Shoreline Cleanup that is taking place on April 21, 2012 from 9 AM til Noon.
Our CITO will be meeting up at the Waterfowl Viewing area and then cleaning up the bike path heading WEST towards Niagara Falls. Silly River runs East-West here....not North-South like a normal river should.
This area can ONLY be accessed by heading South (EAST) on the Robert Moses. Parking is limited, but you can also park at the Water Intakes and head downstream to join us. Car-pooling is encouraged!
You will be given a waiver form to sign and trash bags will be provided.
They are holding a FREE volunteer appreciation picnic directly following the clean-up event, from 12:00 - 3:00pm at the American Legion Post on 533 Amherst St. Buffalo, NY 14207-2913. All are welcome!
