Geocache Description:

Schaerbeek is one of Brussels’ least visited neighborhoods. Despite the fact that it was the home of Jacques Brel and René Magritte the quarter is fairly unknown with visitors, but worth a walk along the boulevards to discover its art deco and art nouveau heritage, a few historic monuments, squares and parks.

Louis Bertrand (1866–1941) was a French novelist, historian and essayist. He was the third member elected to occupy seat 4 of the Académie française in 1925.

This avenue named after him offers a selection of decent fin-de-siècle and magnificent art-nouveau buildings to be discovered. Stroll around, enjoy, and beware of the muggles!

To avoid muggles, come in the morning or evening. PLEASE BE VERY DISCRETE and put the cache back exactly to where it was. THANKS!
