29.7.1942 je Babno Polje obkolila fašistična vojska. Na poti so srečali 9 moških, ki so kmetovali. Kmalu so odjeknili streli.
Našel jih je en domačin tri dni kasneje zaradi hudega smradu.

Farmers were found by a local men 3 days later because of smell.
