church micro 2597 Little Wratting An interesting feature of this Saxon church is the original dedication stone over the door way the Latin dedicatio can be seen although the rest is indecipherable after years of weathering. The church is first mentioned in the doomsday book 1086. The nave of the church is Saxon but the chancel is of a later date ,the bell turret and spire is Victorian. The church is set down a small lane were you can park on the verge, close by is Great Wratting church where there is a micro and in between the two churches along the footpath is another of our caches muddy way so you could do a nice circle and do all three caches.
If anybody would like to expand to this series please do, I would just ask that you could let Sadexploration know first so he can keep track of the Church numbers and names to avoid duplication
