Fantastic View Point
This spot has such a nice view I have to share it with others.
When the weather is clear, I like to stop at this spot and sit, and admire the unobstructed view over the tree covered foothills all the way to the peaks of the Rocky Mountains, that are at least 60 km. away. It is truly something else. From the snow capped peaks of winter, the yellows of fall, to the green of spring and summer, and especially, the rosy hue of the sunrise. It is an awesome and inspiring sight. But REMEMBER it has to be clear weather to make it picture perfect. Mornings are usually the best.
The best place to park is on the N-S road on the south side of the intersection.
The cache is not right here, but if you look to the Northeast from the posted co-ordinates you will see 2 blue signs, on the same post. One is a Township (Twp.) Road Sign and the other is a Range (Rge.) Road Sign. If you do some easy math with the numbers shown there you can easily walk to the cache.
The bearing you need can obtained by adding 180 degrees to the sum of the FIRST two numbers of both signs.
The distance on that bearing, in PACES, is two digits. The first digit is obtained by adding the second number on the Rge. Road sign to the second and third numbers on the Twp. Road sign. The second digit of your required pacing distance is the second number on either sign. Keep in mind that I have fairly long legs.
