Kitty Kache:
For my first hide, I felt it was fitting to dedicate this one to my dear little friend, who has recently left this mortal world.

For the FTF, there is a treat for the cacher's feline friend, courtesy of 'Kitty'. Mousies were her favorite.
The story of Kitty:
Back in 2002, I lived very close to this location. It was a hot, end-of-July day, and I was on my way to work, when I saw this mangy, thin cat walking around the side of my garage. When I called to it, she immediately came over, started purring and rubbed up against my leg. I went inside to get her some cold water and some meat, and when I left it out for her, I said "if you are here when I get home, you will be my kitty". When I returned home at midnight, my headlights caught two beady eyes sitting in front of my garage door. From that point on, I had a new friend.
Tabitha (or Kitty, as she was called by everyone) was a one of a kind cat. My sister nicknamed her 'alien cat' because she was unlike any cat we have ever seen. She was very affectionate, friendly, and wasn't phased by anything. She wouldn't hide, bite, scratch or exhibit any threatening behaviors. People who 'hated' cats would meet her and reevaluate their thinking. I had a very difficult point of my life in 2008, and moved from that location, and Kitty came with me. She got bumped around from house to house, until we ended up in my current house. There, she quietly roamed the house and filled it with purrs, love, and a little cat fur. She was the sweetest little bundle of love. Even though I found her when she was very ill and needed help, I think she picked me and in the end, she saved me. This park could easily have been the area she lived in before she ventured to my driveway when she realized she needed someone to help her. I am glad I could help her... and she helped me more than I could have imagined. I will miss her dearly, but am thankful for the 10 great years I had with her.
Love you, Kitty............
