Ichiriduka has been built in every village(3.92K　meters) as a base a Nihonbashi in Edo.
Koganei-Ichiriduka is the 22nd milestone on the road Koganei Kaido, 22 shows that there is a distance of 22 village from the Edo.　This tsuka is composed of two on the mound, Nikko Kaido was through between the two mound.

一里塚は江戸の日本橋を基点として一里毎に築かれました。小金井一里塚は日光街道で江戸から22番目の塚であり、江戸から22里の距離であることを示しています。塚は2つの築山からなっており、日光街道はその間を通っていました。
