Haiku is an ancient Japanese poetic form. It consists of seventeen syllables split into phrases of 5-7-5 syllables. Traditionally there would be a word from nature indicating a season (although that is followed less in modern haiku). The final phrase is often a contrast with the first two.

In Japanese, haiku are traditionally printed in a single vertical line while haiku in English often appear in three lines to parallel the three phrases.

Hint: Successful puzzle solvers of this cache will not change the formatting of the haiku.

Please consider adding a haiku to your log (or updating your log with a haiku later as you think of one). Thanks.
