The Redesigned Hayes Valley Playground
The newly re-designed Hayes Valley Playground opened its gates in June of 2011. It is not just a community resource center, meeting space and playground, it's a model of environmentally-conscious design.
The clubhouse was built with recycled denim for insulation, is comprised of materials recycled from the old structure and uses solar heating. The playground has a water reclamation system, drought-resistant native plants, and even the art is recycled pieces from the old playground.
In order to celebrate this new park, I decided to place this cache. It's a micro, log-only cache, please bring your own pen and a tool to extract the log.
The cache is not inside the playground gates, but please go in, look around, and maybe get in a quick little workout while you're at it!
