Momotaro's Bear Aware Geocache Traditional Cache
Momotaro.: Cache archived - I was unaware that the location is on private property, plus the land owner is concerned about hazards near the cache site.

A short, 5-minute hike up Zimmerman's Gulch, from the bottom of Arkell Road, near highway 97. Some variable terrain, and can get very muddy if the weather is wet. Be wary of wildlife in the area, and keep dogs on a leash!
Geocache was re-hidden about 3 meters North from the original position on April 29, 2012.
This is our first attempt at a geocache and we hope you enjoy it.
Please trade only bear-related items, in keeping with the theme of the geocache.
The location is called "Zimmerman's Gulch"... an interesting spot surrounded by great walls of sand on all sides. A rough trail winds its way up and through the bottom of the gulch. Make lots of noise as you travel through the gulch as you wouldn't want to startle any bears... :)
Shouldn't be too much trouble to find the cache. Please put it back as you found it. Container is a medium-sized black plastic thermos-style cylinder with a screw-top lid. Contents are various bear-figurines that we've been collecting for some time, a log book, pen and pencil.
There is some evidence of muggle parties in the area, and also evidence of coyote (but no bear) activity. Please up date us if you see wildlife in the area and take pictures of your sightings. We'd love to see them!
Update: Someone has built an interesting mountain bike course down the gulch over some jumps and banked corners. Could be an extra bonus for those who enjoy geocaching by bicycle.
