Geocache Description:

A multi-waypoint cache with six intermediate waypoints

Another great Badlands adventure by the Moondog3. Pack your gear and head out on this journey of discovery. Along the way you will find quiet solitude, unique natural formations, and twisted old junipers with endless numbers of shapes and sizes. Take some time and sit at the base of one of these old trees and listen quietly. Maybe you will hear it talk to you about its long life and struggles in this stark and beautiful area.

Begin your journey by finding the coordinates to the first small metal tag listed below. On this tag you will find the coordinates to the next tag and a hint on where to find it. The sixth and final tag will give you the coordinates to the actual cache location. At the cache take some time to look back on your journey.


Navdog, Justdog, and Otterpup

IMPORTANT - PLEASE NOTE:

  • Allow for 2-3 HOURS of hiking to complete your walkabout.
  • Mark your parking spot. Cross country travel is required.
  • Wear sturdy shoes. The terrain is mostly flat with sandy soil and various rocky stretches.
  • Bring plenty of water, especially on hot days.
  • Always carry a flashlight, compass, and extra batteries for your GPS.
