Geocache Description:

This is a 3-stage geocache on Burnaby Mountain. WARNING - You may have difficulty locating the first 2 waypoints unless you are already familiar with Burnaby Mountain. The waypoint provided above is at the top of Burnaby Mountain and is not required to find the geocache. (However, this waypoint may be used to find the visitor parking lot close to waypoint #2 and "The Tree".)

Armed with printouts of all three pictures that I have provided, carry out the following three steps to complete your quest.

1. Stand exactly where I am standing in the first picture and record waypoint #1. Be as accurate as possible (my GPS accuracy was 5 meters).

2. Stand exactly where I am standing in the second picture and record waypoint #2. Again, be as accurate as possible (my GPS accuracy was 5 meters). Hint to help you find this spot - The picture was taken in the late afternoon. Have a look at the picture's shadows. Additional hint - There is no need to ever go indoors!

3. The third picture shows the location where the physical geocache is hidden. Look behind the tree and you will find your treasure. The waypoint for this tree can be calculated by adding/subtracting waypoint #1, waypoint #2, and the constant as shown below. I recommend that you walk to the tree directly from waypoint #2, rather than attempting to drive to this spot, due to parking restrictions on the mountain.
