Geocache Description:

Welcome to my Otham Ramble series. This is my first series of caches I have placed and I hope you enjoy the walk and enjoy the views as much as I did when I placed this series.

Otham is a small village just outside of Maidstone, Kent. The village contains a Pub, Church, Local fooball club and also has a wildlife area close to the village.
Near to the village as well you will find Stoneacre which is a Medieval yeoman's house built in the 15th century.
The 15th-century half-timbered yeoman's house, features a great hall and is surrounded by a glorious garden, orchard and meadows.

The walk is approximately 7 miles long and will take roughly 4 hours to complete.

This series consists of a total of 20 caches. Most of the caches are small 35mm pots inside large camouflaged specimen pots. There are a few 35mm pots too and 3 small click and lock boxes to hold TBs and Geocoins in if you wish to place any. None of the caches contain a pen so you will need to bring your own. All the caches contain a log book to sign.

Please replace caches as you have found them and always be cautious when retrieving them, as the area can be quite busy with dog walking muggles etc.
There are a couple of hilly sections on the walk which can be found between caches 11 and 12. When I placed the series there were some horses on the fields grazing. So please keep you dogs under control.

This cache is right in view of motorists using the busy A274. Please choose your timing carefully when retrieving this cache.

From #17 walk along a little further and you should see a stone bridle way sign with a yellow arrow on it that points to the right. This will take you on to the field where the poly tunnels are. Walk along side the poly tunnels and then turn right when they end. Dont carry straight on. You will then walk past the end of the poly tunnels for a bit. You will need to look out for yellow footpath signs on the wooden fence on your left. There will be a open gap on the left and you should then be on a narrow footpath that runs along side a field. Carry along on this path until you will see a access road that goes into the farm. Cross this and carry on straight ahead. The cache should be now in front of you.

Sorry for the long gap between these caches as there was no suitable places to place on in between.

This could be done as cache and dash but please dont park on the main A274 road as its very busy.
