superstardj: Well, a sad end to an awesome cache. The cache has been removed - I will attempt to get ahold of the logbook and scan it in - I don't think any trackables were found in it from what I heard.

This wasn't my decision, the park rangers are pretty anti caching and we have to go by their rules.

Geocache Description:

Near summit of Waterrock Knob

Accessible from large parking lot at MM 451.2 on Blue Ridge Parkway. Trail to summit is only 0.5 miles, but a steep, steady climb. Stunning vistas in all directions, especially west (e.g. Smokies),even from parking lot. Trail paved at first, rocky later on. Benches along the way. Your presence at cache site may or may not be visible to others closeby, but your conversation will probably be heard.
Cache container is 7.62mm ammo box with official insignia on outside and ALOT of goodies, logbook pen and pencil. Cache is heavily covered with leaves and debris to prevent accidental discovery - please cover it back up after you find it.
