Geocache Description:

Received permission to place this cache. Cache has a First to Find coin. Be sure to log coin and put it in a cache that you start. This is a key lock box so you will need to bring your own pencil. You don't need a flashlight but it might help.

In 1963 the Army received 600 Patton tanks and the Marines received 419 for battle in the Vietnam War. The M48 tanks saw extensive action in the Vietnam War. Later the United States Congress passed bans on the transfer of fuel and ammunition to South Vietnam. The American tanks were soon out of fuel and ammunition and were abandoned to the North Vietnamese Army. War ended in 1975.
