The water tower was built together with the roundhouse on the site of North Depot of the Hungarian State Railways (MÁV) in 1911. At that time, steam engines were used and they needed water for their operation. This water tower gave the water supply for them. Height: 59 m, capacity: 1000 m3.
Today, the Hungarian Railway Museum operates on the site of North Depot and this water tower is out of order.
Important: There is no pen in the cache, so bring your own! The hiding place is busy in the day time. Watch out for muggles!

A Magyar Vasúttörténeti Park gőzmozdonyai a múlt század elején még a Rákosrendező Pályaudvarról futottak ki. Vízdarukkal töltötték fel őket, s a nyomást a Tatai úti víztorony biztosította. A ma is látható, kétmedencés, alul domború, óriási vasüstöt egykor elegáns manzárdtető és faburkolat borította. Téglából épült törzsében 152 lépcsőfok vezet fel a tartályt középen áttörő búvócsőig. Magasság: 59 m, kapacitás: 1000 m3.
Fontos: Nincs toll a ládában, ezért hozd magaddal a sajátodat! A rejtekhely forgalmas napközben. Vigyázz a muglikra!
