A nice little hike at the Monocacy Hill Recreation Area
Congrats to stampmyart for being FTF!
This cache is a holiday inspired cache. Once you find it you'll know which one! This cache is located about 200 ft off the green trail in Monacacy Hill. Since the trail is a loop, that starts and stops in the parking lot, make sure you head in the right direction. For a short 15 minute or less walk to the cache, follow the green trail by making a left on foot from the parking area along the road and you will see where the green trail continues into the woods, to the left inside the gate...or for a longer hike (45min-1hour) you can follow the other end of the green trail all the way around Monocacy by walking straight ahead from the parking area.
This cache is located near the old foundation of the quarry mill. You can still see the remains today. If you want to know more you can read it on the sign close to where the cache is located.
Bring small trade items only, that will fit in the "containers". Do not take the "containers" just replace the contents of the "containers" with a new item. The log book is in a bison tube which inside of one of the special containers. Please leave the cache is in the same condition as you found it. BYOP. Thanks!!
There is a nice Traveler (unactivated) for FTF, taped to the top of the cache box. Also included are 5 micro, unactivated travelers in this cache and some other small trade items.
