Geocache Description:

Cnoc na Speireag
I know; you've never heard of it!

Cnoc na Speireag is a small volcanic plug on the uplands above Loch Harport; it is topped by a trig pillar. What makes it so special is the extensive view from the summit, and the fact that you have to get out of the car, and tackle a whole kilometre of walking!

But it is well worth it.

There is room to park cars at the roadside where the two roads from Carbost meet, just above Carbost Burn. From there walk up beside the burn gully until it levels, and then cross heather moorland towards the crag-girt summit. The walking is easy enough, but could be soggy after rain.
