Geocache Description:

A short walk down the Goffstown Rail Trail.

We grew up in Goffstown and the covered bridge was a beautiful bridge that at the time it burned on August 17, 1976, was still being used by the railroad. We witnessed the bridge burning and falling into the river. The fire was of suspicious origin and I am not sure if they ever solved who started the fire. There is an abuttment where the bridge used to be and close to this is where you will find the cache. It's also considered the beginning of the Goffstown Rail Trail.
