Close enough parking, bring your fishing pole.
Wasn't too many summer days gone by,
when puffy clouds drifted over head,
that bare foot children
would play along the water way.
Easy breezes just made for throwing a line and a bober out to see what might bite. The old water wheel slowly turning as the water flows over the dam, honeysuckle rose scent caught up in the wind. A bologna samich wrapped in wax paper, an apple, an some ginger snaps to hold off the hunger.
