Geocache Description:

This is the second of 3 cache’s based in and near Hutton village

Hutton Village is a quaint historical hamlet tucked away in the corner of Guisborough and Hutton Lowcross Woods. Originally a community for the Jet miners with evidence of the church, school house, miner's baths still present. This cache is placed (with the kind permission of the Forestry Commission) near a short but steep path up into the woods. This used to be the path taken by the miners up to the mine entrance. The mine is no longer accessible. To find the coordinates for the third cache the ‘X’ and ‘Y’ numbers must be retrieved from the other two. PENCILmay be required but room for trackables etc If you park in the village it is advisable to place car halfway onto the pavement (police OK about it) because logging lorries and large farm vehicles regularly use this narrow road. Make sure you continue up onto the beautiful moor-top.
