Geocache Description:

Next Train is Delayed is a micro cache containing only the log. It is located on a publically accessible remaining section of the closed Portishead to Bristol railway line.

Next Train is Delayed is a small box located in an extremely easy to access area, however the nearby road can be busy. Finding the cache should be straightforward.
The Portishead station was located where the Waitrose car park is located today.The line largely remains in place on its route through Portbury docks, Pill, along the western bank of the Avon Gorge and through to Temple Meads in Bristol. There is an active campaign to re-open the line for passenger use. The campaign has a website: (visit link) at which you can register support.
Of course, if the line does re-open, I’ll need to remove the cache, but as there will be a 3 or 4 years warning before the restoration is completed, there will be plenty of time to hide it around the new station….
