Geocache Description:

The foot path "trestle" to the north this cache site makes it possible for individuals to walk from 4th Avenue to 3rd Avenue on Lincoln Street alignment. The trestle also has stairways so that a pedestrian can access the lower portions of 4th Avenue.

This is a very interesting area of Carmel. In addition to this unique trestle, Mary Austin Park at the Northeast corner of Monte Verde Street, commemorates Mary Austin (1868-1934) who was one of the early bohemian writers who settled in Carmel. Also, the new 4th Avenue Riparian Walkway extends from Monte Verde to San Antonio Streets.

There are "no parking" signs in the vicinity of the cache, however parking is available nearby.

You might encounter the "Buckeroo Mama Cat"...see image gallery...

Enjoy!

Update 4/14/2016
The ivy coverage thanks to El Nino has made this cache a little more difficult (I've added a half a star to this effect)...again, follow the instructions...it's there!
