Alligator Allie

Wildlife officers around the Saskatoon area have issued an Alligator Warning to all Geocachers in the area.
Due to the wet summer last year alligators have been spotted in the area. The alligators that have been spotted are generally timid but will attack if surprised or cornered and cachers are advised to make their presence known to these beasts by wearing bells on your shoes. Every step you take will warn the nearby 'gators that there is a cacher in the area. You can further protect yourself by carrying a large can of pepper with you. If a large 'gator rushes you just take out your can of pepper and sprinkle it liberally in his nostrils and eyes. The 'gator will start to violently sneeze giving you time to sign the log and retreat.
It is extremely important that you learn to recognize the size of the 'gator laying in wait for his next meal. Always be looking for signs of fresh scat (poo). If it is a small pile it will contain small bones and fur and you will know that it is only a small 'gator and poses no real threat how ever if it is a large pile that smells like pepper and has small bells in it you had better run.
Have fun and watch out for the gators.
