Flooding on the Plateau? Traditional Cache

This cache has been archived.

Telex: I've decided to throw in the towel on this one, as it has gone missing yet again. It had a good run.

Hint for future hiders - don't put one where the only place it can go if dropped is into water.

Geocache Description:

If you've lived on the plateau since before Sammamish was a city, you will remember this wetland flooding the area roads anytime there was significant rain. A drainage improvement project solved the flooding problems and gave us these very nice boardwalks.

But where does all the water go? This is a low spot between Pine and Beaver Lakes that drains (along with Beaver Lake) into Laughing Jacobs Lake, then via Laughing Jacobs Creek to Lake Sammamish.

Enjoy your visit and maybe you'll see a red-winged blackbird, a mountain beaver or a few frogs.
