This lovely picnic spot is a sheltered bay near Kilmuir, Trotternish. It comes complete with its own slipway and fantastic views looking over to the Outer Hebrides. We discovered it quite by accident one afternoon while trying to dodge the wind and rain. I swear it was the only part of the Island that saw any sun that day.
It is possible to go on from here to Flora MacDonald’s grave and memorial, and the Skye Museum of Island Life.
Off the A855, and signed for An Camas Mor (Camus More). Parking is by the picnic spot.
The cache is a 35mm film canister - please bring your own pen. Please replace carefully, as it might be easy to spot while folk are tucking into their burgers :-)
