Denne cachen ligg ved ei utviding som er laga for at vogntog skal kunne legge på kjetting før dei køyrer opp Svarstadsvingane på glatt føre. Kvar vinter er det mange tilfeller av vogntog som køyrer i grøfta opp desse lunefulle bakkane.
Denne plassen er også cirka der det er planar om at brua over Nordfjorden vil kome i land når E39 blir ferdig utbygd. Vel og merke dersom Stortinget går for "indre line". Om og når dette skjer er framleis eit ope spørsmål som vil setje sinna i kok i mange år framover. Om du ynskjer å få ein nordfjording til å prate er det berre å nemne E39.
