Geocache Description:

This is one of a series of fun and sometimes easy to find caches placed along the EAST side of the river along the GreenBelt Trail. This is one of the not so easy and depending on the water level may be a 4.5

Grown Ups this is a WARNING to hold on to the kids hand when approching this section of the GreenBelt Trail as there is erosion to the bank here and a sharp drop off. KEEP away from the edge - YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED.

You can park in the State Park beneath the dam or at the FM 428 parking lot but there is a small $5.00 or is it now $7.00 fee unless you have the annual State Park pass. All can be reached by Canoe or on a Horse or on one’s own legs. Check with the Park Rangers before starting the journey as the trail sometimes gets washed out after heavy rains; however this should not hinder those using canoes. All are Ammo Cans tethered and easy to find. I’ve placed these caches far enough apart to allow others to also hide some if they so wish. This should make a nice day out caching all the way along this section of the GreenBelt Trail. If you are walking please watch out for the horses and give them the right of way
Some of these hides under the tree canopy played havoc with my GPS readings but I did the best that I could with the resources to hand. If any of you fellow Geocachers can come up with better co-ordinates please put them in your logs. That way when I get two or more that match and that others are happy with, I can get PM to update the main page. Thanks and good luck.
