Geocache Description:

A small series of caches located along the course of the beautiful River Ythan as it meanders through rural Aberdeenshire from the Wells of Ythan to the estuary at Newburgh where the river meets the North Sea.

Some six miles from its source, the Ythan is still a modest stream as it reaches Badenscoth, running through the small valley and under the embankment on top of which the Forgue/Inverurie road passes.

There is room to park one or two cars here, but do not block the two access tracks. The road is generally quiet, but can be surprisingly busy at rush hour times. Take care.

Bring your own pen.
