12/13/23 Update: The make-shift replica of the original cache was moved a couple feet today. Due to the trimming/chopping/whacking described in my 11/25/23 "Disable" log, I deem currently unusable the remains of the original host (where I had placed it 12/02 when I Enabled it). The cache is now in plain sight, and while the camo’d container is natural-looking, it's OUT OF PLACE for this environ. Stand at the posted coordinates and sharp eyes will notice what doesn't belong.

Original 2012 Description: We are continuing to populate our neighborhood (the Hollywood Riviera) with geocaches, and have built up a power series along this 2-mile trail. I intended to stop at 16 – but, I had one more clever cache type on my list to construct that just begged to go here and I discovered we had one 0.21-mile gap. I promise #17 is the last one. (Turns out my promise ain't worth much.)
This cache is on the Torrance side of the trail. You may have to hunt longer than average to spot this one. Or not. The camo's construction is inspired by a cache done by Windkissed & Nekkar, but ours encloses a regular bison tube. Please be careful unscrewing and screwing back on the cap, and with the attachment. Please replace the cache in the same location you should have found it. Its attachment mechanism is flexible, so be sure it's hook-shaped to hang securely.
If you're not hiking the trail, there is good parking in either city a couple hundred yards in either direction, at our Via Colusa & Via Pasqual caches. This is not a muggle-free area; you might or might not be shielded from the nearby houses, plus there are lotsa dog walkers & occasional fellow hikers. So, be sure no one is in sight from either direction before diving off the trail, and then continue to be stealthy and on the lookout Log-only; bring your own writing utensil.
12/2/23: The cache lies in 1 of 2 significant remains of the host. May be hard to spot with natural camo returning. About chest height. Please replace cache as inconspicuously (if not totally hidden) as possible.
