Geocache Description:

Sneaky park micro
Camo to blend in w native flora
relatively quick drive-by
hunt may take a bit of creative searching though

Radiata is the most widely planted pine tree in the world. Around Manningham the prevalence of these trees are a legacy of the German settlers who planted these fast growing windbreaks for their orchards.

Native to California, Monterey Pine is used extensively in construction, commercial tree farming, newspulp, and chipboard.

Its adaptability to poor soils and prolific seed production have seen it classified as a weed. Usually the seed pods open in fire, but our hot summers usually allow germination without the heat of a fire that would normally kill the parent.

Please ensure the lid is 'clicked' into the closed position before leaving.
