This series of caches runs along the Rails to Trails that is just south of Ridgecrest along the 395 and then wraps around the hills and heads out by Brown Road and ends at Wicknich Rd. It has a mix of cache sizes.
Please be wary of desert animals, road conditions, OHVs, and shooters.
The actual trail is sand, packed dirt, pea gravel, and small gravel along the way. There are some dirt trails and dirt roads that can get you close to some of the caches as well as allow vehicle access to the trail. Our original idea was to walk it, but it's drivable up through #25 in a 2WD (We used a Toyota Sienna Minivan). You may want to detour around the bridge that is past that point unless you have a high clearance vehicle.
There are homes along #1-#10, but none from #11-50 (to potentially 60).
This series has been set up by students who attend Burroughs High School and is a part of our BHS Geocaching Club. The intent is to add more caches along this trail throughout the school year.
