You think a silly little 8,000+ seat stadium with air-conditioned press box and enclosed suites would empty the RISD athletic budget? Think again, grasshopper! Having played on the old tennis courts, I can vouch for the fact that they needed some new ones. Folds and creases and crevices throughout the asphalt playing surface doesn't make for great tennis. Come to think of it, who plays on asphalt anymore, anyway? Regardless, this county doesn't know how to save any of their money any better than our state or federal leaders. Why should we be different? Let's all be bankrupt together!
