The Chemistry of an Egg.
The golden egg is the focal point of the Hong Kong Science Park which is located roughly halfway Tai Po and Sha Tin, along the waterfront of Tolo Harbour. It houses several technology-related companies, which enjoy favourable rent and facilities. The park has been set up to promote the development of research and development in Hong Kong.
This being a science park means a lot of science is being done there, and with science come Mad Scientists. When I came there to hide this cache, one of them took the cache and ran with it, hid it, and told me "I hid it well! At a great place in the Science Park!". When asked for where he hid it, he said he only wanted to give me one Additional Hint:

Getting there.
Science Park can be reached by KMB route 272K from University MTR, 272S from Diamond Hill MTR and 43P from Tsuen Wan MTR, by minibus 27 from Sha Tin MTR station, or by bicycle from either Tai Po or Sha Tin directions cycling along the Tolo Harbour waterfront.
