Geocache Description:

The Cowichan Valley Trail will take you from Duncan through Lake Cowichan and down past the Kinsol Trestle following former CN and E&N railway lines. With many access points and 8 trestles, it's a beautiful trail to walk, jog or bike. From the Island Spirit Team, we hope you enjoy your time in the Cowichan Valley.

All the Island Spirit Legacy Caches are within a 2 steps of the trail, there is no need to bushwack or trample the vegetation unless otherwise noted.

Robins

Robins, or as children we call them Robin Redbreast, is a migratory songbird from the thrush family. Robins are 10-11 inches long, with a wingspan of 12-16 inches and only weigh between 2-3 ounces. Their throat is white with black streaks, they have a brown back and reddish brown chest with a yellow beak and brown legs and feet. We've all seen them running through the lawn pulling up worms, hunting by sight, a Robin's diet consists of grubs, worms and caterpillars, berries and cultivated fruit.
