A nice little walk in a woodland area or not far off a main cycle route. This cache should be fairly simple to find, but watch out for thorny branches/bramble as it is off the beaten track.
...in the Enchanted Wood where the trees, "a darker green than usual," whisper their secrets: "Wisha-wisha-wisha." In the wood is the Faraway Tree — a huge tree inhabited by fairy-folk and laden with fruit of all kinds from acorns to lemons. Its topmost branches lead to ever-changing magical lands above the swirling clouds.'
OK, well you may not find lemons on this tree, but elliedaagon & her sister believe this tree is magical. It looks different from all the trees around it. It is now home to a geocache and the first visitors to the cache may even find a little fairy to swap.
This is a pleasant stroll from beccles town centre, a nice little woodland walk for those parking or living nearby (particularly popular with dog walkers) and is just off a main cycle route (30). If driving don't try to park on London Road.
There is a very good, tarmac path and a flat woodland path that bring you fairly close to this cache. The actual cache is hidden off the beaten track, though.
You'll find a small cache with a notebook and the usual sort of swaps (if taking a swap, please replace). When placed (01/04/12) the cache contained a fairy, a geocoin, a lego man, childs bracelet & a few other bits and bobs.
