Geocache Description:

The cache is located on the beautiful New England Trail. Best starting point is off of Rt. 6. You can park in a pull off at (N 41° 42.488' - W 72° 49.738'). Walk up blue trail starting at (N 41°42.443' - W 72° 49.672'). The terrain from the parking area cache is fairly easy. However In the summer you may have to bushwhack a little if the underbrush grows in.

This is the second cache in my barbershop series. When I first saw this object I thought it would make a great cache and I Knew there could be several names I could name it. Last year when I did the Hartford A-Z challenge I noticed there were not a lot of caches beginning with the letter “U.” Being a fan of the Who’s rock opera “Tommy” I decided to name this one after Uncle Ernie.

You are looking for a micro cache connected to a small object. Please be careful removing and replacing the log container. You WILL need to bring your own pen and I would also advise bringing a pair of tweezers or a small pin to help extract the log.
