01 Slaughterford Saunter - Weiry Traditional Cache
BlackAndTabbyFamily: After 12 years and 230 finds we have decided to archive this cache after it went missing yet again. Hopefully this will allow someone else to set up a new series of caches in this lovely area.

A series of five caches that will take you on a 1.5 mile walk out and back to the village of Slaughterford. Most of the terrain is on public footpaths which can get very muddy in places. There may be cattle about in some fields. We recommending starting the walk with a look at the church.
From the church turn left as if you were exiting the church gate and head across the field to a stile. From there you can pick up the waypoint that marks the start of a signposted footpath, which goes through a wide (and usually muddy!) gateway on the opposite side of the road. The route will take you across the field towards the next waypoint where there is a stile. Then continue onwards to the cache coordinates. Take care of young ones here - the water is deep and fast flowing at times.
