Geocache Description:

#2 Chavenage Circuit

From here follow the path up the bank through the trees for a few yards then take the footpath (signed) off to your left. If you are feeling adventurous keep on going at this point for a slight detour and have a look at what is supposed to be the Hermits Cave. Though from all the refuse here it’s now used for something else.

Carry on along the footpath through the avenue of trees. Look to your left and you will see the remains of a dried up brook, there are also some tumuli near here. Keep a look out for pheasants, kites and not forgetting the bluebells and garlic which are starting to show.

You are looking for a small bison tube, have had to resort to this due to the cost of clip lock boxes, please bring your own pen.

Please note that since all the rain a stream which was not there when we set the series has now appeared. The section between #1 and #2 in now very muddy.

Also the stream now cuts across the public footpath where you have to cross the stile to get to #2, please be careful if you decide to cross it.
