This is a 3 mile circular walk, south of Hurstpierpoint, through fields and small woodlands. There are stiles and streams to cross. Some of the fields and paths can become very muddy – so wellies may be preferred. Livestock in fields tends to be sheep and horses so please keep dogs on leads.
During your walk you may notice the following features of the South Downs landscape. The large hill to the south is Wolstonbury. To the left Jack and Jill windmills can be seen and to the right hang gliders are often seen in the sky near Devil’s Dyke.
The walk consists of 10 caches and 2 multi-caches. There are 7 micros and 5 small boxes for swaps and small trackables.
We recommend that you do the walk in numerical order.
Please bring a pencil.
We have suggested that you park at Brown Twins Road car park. If this is full, there is on street parking but please respect access for local residents. There is also free long term parking in the left hand side of the Trinity Road car park but the right hand side is disc only. Parking attendants are seen daily in Hurstpierpoint so please observe car park regulations.
Hurstpierpoint has a range of shops plus several cafes and pubs should you be in need of refreshments.
