Brake Break--Homonym Traditional Cache
Please note Use of geocaching.com services is subject to the terms and conditions
in our disclaimer.
In a small, quiet, lovely, out-of-the-way neighborhood park.
A homonym, where two different words have different spellings and different meanings but are pronounced the same. These two get mixed up often enough. For example one geocacher commented on his log that he took a "brake" from work to find it; a break maybe but not a brake.
Brake: to stop the movement of something like your car. Break: to desist what one is doing to do something else, like taking a break from work to get some coffee, or to make something come apart, like breaking a bottle.
So if you want to take a break from work to look for this cache, as you drive past the junior high, brake for any kids that may be crossing the street. When and if you find the cache, please treat it gently and do not break it into pieces.
