HINTON's 2nd CITO EVENT

WHEN: Saturday April 28, 2012 @ 10:00am Start (rain, snow, or shine)
Here we are preparing for a good ol' fashioned town spring cleaning event!!! Namely, The Hinton and area Spring CITO 2012!!! This year we are at the FIELD behind JELES Grocery store and then potluck at the picnic tables by the OLD town hall site.
As usual, it will consist of the cleanup of a very beautiful town area and then a potluck lunch! All Hinton and area cachers are encouraged to attend, and any and all visiting geocachers are more than welcome to drop by, give us a hand and join us in the festivities!!
CITO (Cache In Trash Out) is an ongoing environmental initiative supported by the worldwide geocaching community. Since 2002, geocachers have been dedicated to cleaning up parks and other cache-friendly places around the world.
Ken McLeod with the "Town of Hinton Parks Department" has confirmed that April 28th works very well for him. He has also booked our spot, Picnic Site the Old town hall and field behind Jeles grocery for clean-up, for the day. The picnic site has tables and washrooms are in the rec center. Thanks Ken!!
Please bring: extra pair of gloves, garbage collecting sticks, food (see list below) and your spirit to clean up our planet.
For coordination reasons, would you please give us a heads up as reasonably possible if you can attend or not? (and number of people in your party) It will give us all a good idea how much food and supplies we'll need for our event.
There will be a log book on site to document your attendance and in order to log this event we ask that you please try to gather at least one bag of garbage.
SCHEDULE
10:00am (CITO Start) to 10:15am: Let's all meet at the posted coord's for a brief intro to the days events.
10:15am to 12:30pm: Over 2 hours of "CITOing"!!!
12:30pm to 12:45pm: Group photo taken then off to picnic site.
12:45pm to 1:30pm: Potluck Lunch at OLD Town Hall picnic site (by the Guild) and prizes awarded. Coords for picnic site: N53.24.628 W117.33.870
