Geocache Description:

Quick park and grab in the latest of the TMOTHBG series. You do not need to enter the facility to access the cache.

Fox Field is home of the Marion Swamp Foxes. This is one of the oldest fields still in use in the state. You rarely find fields with covered grandstands still used. Others in the area similar to this are Dillon's Wildcat Field and Sumter's Riley Park. Watching a ball game here will take you back to the 1940's or 1950's when fields like these were the norm.

Marion's baseball program has a long history of success. Most recently, they are the two time defending region champs (2009, 2010). Fox Field is also the summer home for Marion's Post 5 Jr. American Legion team, who won the Jr Legion (17-under) state title in 2010.
